Why I’m running:
I will never forget when my oldest brother Alex sat me down and told me I will join JSA when I got to high school. He said, “always keep it about the mission, never yourself.” I did not fully understand what that “mission” was until my first Fall One Day. There I saw hundreds of youths from across the state, coming together to discuss the issues that matter. To many, JSA is an organization, but to me, it is a cause. This past presidential election should be a reminder to those on both sides of the aisle of the importance of an engaged and informed electorate. I feel there is no cause nobler than to inspire our generation to learn more about the issues facing our nation. To that cause, I want to give everything I can. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not.” I want to make your JSA experience even better than mine. It will be no bigger honor, than to be given the chance to serve you.
